David Rubin joins as Vice President of Global Textile Sales
and Gary Nicholson as Director of Textile Business Development, Asia

Beverly, MA — (February 25, 2021) – Sciessent has expanded its global textile market sales team with the addition of David Rubin as Vice President of Global Textile Sales and Gary Nicholson as Director of Textile Business Development, Asia. Demand for the company’s antimicrobial, odor control and water repellent solutions has been steadily growing among textile and apparel manufacturers worldwide, requiring additional sales and service resources in Asia and other leading markets.

An experienced sales professional in the global textile, apparel and footwear industries for over 20 years, Rubin is responsible for driving sales growth of Sciessent’s textile solutions worldwide. He comes to Sciessent from the 3M Company, where over the past 13 years he has worked with top consumer brands with technical ingredient solutions, such as Thinsulate Insulation, Scotchgard Protector and Scotchlite Reflective Materials. Rubin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.

With over 40 years of experience and a diverse skill set in textile operations, Nicholson will focus on Sciessent’s Asia-based sales to compliment the company’s existing technical and customer support team in that region. A graduate of the Melbourne College of Textiles, Nicholson has spent the past 18 years working with manufacturers throughout Asia to establish new manufacturing plants; design critical processes (e.g., QC, R&D, product development); implement ISO quality systems; and deploy sustainable textile manufacturing practices.
